When soldering parts, solder is used, which melts and spreads between two parts of the product and solidifies and connects them.
The connection by soldering does not require melting of the base metal and allows you to desolder different parts of the part if necessary.
However, it is less reliable than welding. The latter makes it possible to form a stable interatomic connection between parts, is widely used in industry,
in particular, engineering. The advantage of welding is a significant saving of metal and high reliability of such a connection.
Pressure and fusion welding are distinguished.
Fusion welding - the formation of a welding bath of molten metals and their solidification with the formation of a weld.
The following fusion welding methods are widely used: arc, electron beam, laser, electroslag, gas.
Pressure welding involves increasing the plasticity of the metal in the welding area, these parts are heated and compressed.
The following methods of pressure welding are known: contact, diffusion, electro-sonic, friction, explosion, etc.
